In the French Ligue 1: Super Eagles forward Terem Moffi was the hero for OGC Nice as he scored the winning goal in their 1-0 victory over Toulouse on Sunday. Moffi netted the only goal of the game in the 54th minute to secure full points for the host. The 24-year-old has recorded four goals with two assists in the league this season.
In Italy: Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman was on target for Atalanta in their 1-2 home defeat to Victor Osimhen’s Napoli on Saturday. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia opened the scoring for Napoli one minute before halftime, but Lookman equalized for Atalanta in the 53rd minute of the game. However, Eljif Elmas netted the winning goal for Napoli in the 79th minute, with Victor Osimhen getting the assist.
Lookman has registered four goals with two assists for Atalanta in the league this season, while Osimhen has registered six goals with one assist for Napoli.
In the Spanish LaLiga: Super Eagles striker Sadiq Umar scored his first goal of the season for Real Sociedad in their 2-1 home victory over Sevilla on Sunday. Umar doubled Sociedad’s lead in the 22nd minute of the encounter, and was replaced after 75 minutes.
In the Premier League: Super Eagles midfielder, Frank Onyeka was in action as Brentford lost 1-0 to Arsenal in Saturday’s Premier League game. The Nigerian international, who was making his 11th appearance for Brentford, was substituted in the 90th minute for Lewis-Potter.
Super Eagles defender, Ola Aina also featured for Nottingham Forest as they fall to a 2-3 home defeat against Brighton on Saturday. Aina played for 90 minutes in the encounter.
In Saudi Arabia: Odion Jude Ighalo scored a hat trick for Al Wehdah in their 3-1 win over the visiting Al Khaleej on Saturday. Ighalo opened the scoring in the 3rd minute before Fabio Martins levelled for Al Khaleej in the 22nd minute from the spot. The Nigerian striker restored his team lead in the 58th minute before completing his hat-trick in the 80th minute from the spot. The 34-year-old has now scored eight goals in the league this season.
Anthony Nwakaeme also scored the winner goal for Al Faiha in their 1-0 away win over Al Fateh on Saturday. Nwakaeme scored the only goal of the game in the 39th minute. His compatriot Henry Onyekuru was also in action for Al Faiha.
In Germany: Victor Boniface and Nathan Tella both played for Bayer Leverkusen in their 3-0 away win at Werder Bremen on Saturday. Boniface was in action for 71 minutes, while Tells came on nine minutes from time.
In the Championship: Super Eagles duo of Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho featured for Leicester City in their 2-0 home victory over Watford on Saturday. Iheanacho was in action for 55 minutes, while Ndidi played for 64 minutes.
In Women’s football: Super Flacons star Rasheedat Ajibade scored a stunning goal for Atletico Madrid Femenino in their 2-0 home win over Granada on Sunday. Ajibade put her team infront four minutes after the break to register her second goal of the season.
