In Italy, Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen was sent off as Napoli suffered a 2-0 defeat at AS Roma in the Serie A on Saturday. Osimhen, who signed a new deal during the week to extend his stay with Napoli till 2026, was sent off in the 87th minute for a second bookable offence.
It was Napoli’s second red card in the game, after Matteo Politano was sent off in the 66th minute.
Ademola Lookman was in action as Atalanta fell to 1-0 defeat against Bologna on Saturday. Lookman was in action for 72 minutes in the game. The 26-year-old has scored six goals and provided three assists in 17 league appearances for Atalanta this season.
In another Serie A clash, Isaac Success was in action for Udinese as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Torino at the Stadio Olimpico Grande. Success took the place of Festy Ebosele 12 minutes from time. His compatriot, goalkeeper Maduka Okoye was an unused substitute for Udinese in the game.

Another Super Eagles star Ola Aina was in action for 10-man Nottingham Forest who lost 3-2 to Bournemouth on Saturday. Aina came in the 85th minute, and the loss to Bournemouth means Forest are now without a win in their last seven games.
In the Championship, Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi was in a action as Leicester City defeated Rotherham United 3-0 in Saturday’s Championship game. The Nigerian international, who was making his 19th league appearance, played for 70 minutes. He has netted two goals and bagged five assists this season.
His compatriot, Kelechi Iheanacho was a unused substitute in the game.
Super Eagles midfielder, Joe Aribo was in action for Southampton as they pipped QPR 1-0 in Saturday’s Championship game. The Nigerian international, who was making his 16th appearance this ongoing season, received a booking in the first half.
In Scotland, Cyriel Dessers grabbed an assist as Rangers claimed a 2-0 victory over Motherwell at the Fir Park on Sunday afternoon. The Nigerian international set up Kiernan O’Neill Dowell for the game’s opening goal in the 4th minute. Meanwhile, Dessers put the ball in the back of the net twice in the game but was ruled out for offside. The 29-year-old has so far scored nine goals with four assists in all competitions this seasons.

In Turkey, Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu got an assist for Trabzonspor in their 1-1 draw at home against Basaksehir on Saturday. Onuachu assisted Batista Mendy for the equaliser in the 34th minute. The Nigerian international has registered eight goals with two assists this season.
Babajide Akintola was on target for Adana Demirspor in their 2-1 win over Antalyaspor on Sunday. The 27-year-old put Demirspor ahead in the 1st minute of the encounter.
In Belgium, Nigerian midfielder, Alhassan Yusuf, bagged another assist for Royal Antwerp in their 2-2 draw at home against Westerlo in the Belgian Jupiler on Saturday. Yusuf is part of the Super Eagles’ 40-man squad for the AFCON 2023 in Côte d’Ivoire. He has now provided an assist in each of his last three games for Royal Antwerp.
