For the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, the Super Eagles squad numbers have been released.
Top striker Victor Osimhen retained his number 9 shirt, highlighting his significance to the Super Eagles’ squad.
Captain Ahmed Musa, also retained his renowned number seven shirt, while Joe Aribo would don the famed number 10.
Alhassan Yusuf, the new addition to the team will don jersey the number 4, which was previously worn by Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi, the player he replaced.
However, midfielder Alex Iwobi has switched from number 18 to 17, while Samuel Chukwueze kept his number 11 shirt.
The Super Eagles are drawn in Group A of this year’s AFCON with host county Cote d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau.
