Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has been cleared to face the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) semi-final clash on Wednesday.
The Napoli striker was a major doubt for the match after failing to travel with the rest of the team to Bouake on Monday night due to abdominal discomfort. The squad departed Abidjan for Bouake via Air Cote d’Ivoire around 10pm local time on Monday.
The goal poacher was placed under close watch, and has now been cleared by the medical team to join the rest of the squad. The 25-year-old has scored one goal with one assist in five appearances for the Super Eagles at the ongoing AFCON.
The Super Eagles will have their final training session later tonight, and the three-time African champions will lock horns with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa at the Stade de la Paix, Bouake on Wednesday night.
