The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced that the Super Eagles of Nigeria will play Black Stars of Ghana and the Eagles of Mali later this month in international friendly games.
Nigeria will play Ghana on March 22, and will face Mali four days later. Both games will go down in Marrakech Morocco.
The Nigeria football governing body has also invited 26 players for the games. The invited players include the regulars like Victor Osimhen, Alex Iwobi, Moses Simon and Ademola Lookman. While Jamilu Collins, Tyronne Ebuehi and Cyriel Dessers are making their return to the team.
Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, and Taiwo Awoniyi of Nottingham Forest who missed the AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire returns from injury, while Bayer Leverkusen’s Nathan Tella and Turkey-based Fisayo Dele-Bashiru have received another call ups.
Luton FC defender Gabriel Osho and Tanzania-based Benjamin Tianimu have received their maiden callups.
Meanwhile, NFF is faced with the task of appointing a new coach for the team, following the departure of Jose Peseiro who led the Super Eagles to second place at the 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast.
