Super Eagles of Nigeria played out a 1-1 draw with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the 2026 World Cup qualifier in Uyo on Friday.
Themba Zwane opened the scoring for the South Africans in the 29th minute with a brilliant finish, but Fisayo Dele-Bashiru equalised for Nigeria one minute after the break.
Terem Moffi had a big chance to win it for the Eagles in added minutes of the game, but could not beat the South Africa goalkeeper, Williams one on one.
After three rounds of matches, Lesotho top the group with five points, South Africa occupy the 4th position with four points, same points with Rwanda and Benin Republic who are 2nd and 3rd respectively.
The Finidi George Super Eagles team has now drawn all their three games in the qualifiers, and will lock horns with Benin Republic away on Monday.
