Chelsea Football Club have appointed former Super Eagles player Seyi Olofinjana into a talent management role covering Africa.
His new role at Chelsea will cover recruitment recommendations across Africa, working in conjunction with a newly-appointed scout that will cover the continent.
The former Nigeria international started his football career in Nigeria with Crown FC of Ogbomosho, and Kwara United before moving to club SK Brann of Norway in 2003. He moved to England to join Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2004.
Due to his experience and expertise, his role will aim to build on Chelsea’s connections in Africa and streamline the pathway for players to Stamford Bridge.
The 44-year-old is also the executive director of Nigerian third division side Imperial FC.
