Nigeria’s representatives in the 2024/25 CAF Champions League, Enugu Rangers and Remo Stars have been drawn against US Zilimadjou of Comoros and AS FAR of Morocco respectively in the preliminary round.
US Zilimadjou will host the Nigerian champions in the first leg between August 16-18, while the reverse fixture will go down at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium, Enugu between August 23-25.
The winner over two legs will face the winner of the tie between St Louis of Mauritius and Angola’s GDSE in the second preliminary round.
Enugu Rangers are back on the continent for the first time since 2016 with the hope of advancing to the group stages as they have been busy recruiting players in the last week.
NPFL runner up, Remo Stars will lock horns with AS FAR of Morocco in the first leg between 16-18 August, while the second leg will go down between 23-25 August.
It’s Remo Stars’ their third consecutive season on the continent, but they are yet to play in the group stages.
The winner of the tie will face either Sudan’s El Merreikh or Libya’s representative in the second preliminary round.
