Federation Cup champions El-Kanemi Warriors have been drawn against Beninoise club, Dadje FC in the preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
El-Kanemi will host the first leg, while the reverse fixture will go down for Benin Republic.
The winner over two legs will face former champions RS Berkane of Morocco in the second preliminary round.
Nigeria’s other representative, Enyimba are however drawn bye in the first round of the preliminary round as one of the 12 highest-ranked teams in the competition.
The People’s Elephant will take on the winner of Guinea’s Haifa FC and Rahimo of Burkina Faso in the second preliminary round.
Enyimba remain the most successful Nigerian club on the continent with their back-to-back CAF Champions League titles in 2003 and 2004.
