In England, Wilfred Ndidi got two assists for Leicester City as they held Crystal Palace to a 2-2 draw at Selhurst Park in Saturday’s Premier League clash. Ndidi assisted Jamie Vardy for the opening goal in the 21st minute, and also provided assist for Stephy Mavidid’s goal a minute after the break. The Super Eagles star midfielder now has three assists in four Premier League games this season.
At Anfield, Ola Aina starred for Nottingham Forest in a memorable 1-0 win over Liverpool. The Nigerian defender played the full 90 minutes and was outstanding in neutralizing Liverpool’s attack, particularly dealing with Luis Diaz. Meanwhile, Taiwo Awoniyi was an unused substitute for Forest in the encounter.
At Craven Cottage, Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey were both in action for Fulham in their 1-1 draw with West Ham United on Saturday. Iwobi played for 66 minutes, while Bassey was in action for the entire duration.

In Germany, Victor Boniface opened his 2024/25 German Bundesliga goals account in style, netting a brace and providing an assist as Bayer Leverkusen secured a commanding 4-1 away victory against Hoffenheim in the German Bundesliga on Saturday.
The Super Eagles striker set up Martin Terrier for the opener in the 17th minute with a perfectly weighted square pass before doubling Leverkusen’s advantage in the 30th minute after latching onto a pass from Granit Xhaka and firing a low, powerful finish past goalkeeper Oliver Baumann. Boniface then sealed the comfortable win for Xabi Alonso’s side with 15 minutes remaining, showcasing his individual brilliance by cutting in from the left and beating Baumann with a clinical effort.
Boniface’s compatriot, Nathan Tella, also started for Leverkusen but was substituted for Jeremie Frimpong in the 57th minute. Boniface himself was replaced by Patrick Schick four minutes from time, having left an indelible mark on the game.
In another venue, Frank Onyeka provided an assist on his debut as Augsburg defeated St. Pauli 3-1 at the WWK Arena in their German Bundesliga game on Sunday. Samuel Chukwueze was in action for AC Milan who recorded their first win in the league this season with a convincing 4-0 win against Venezia on Saturday. The Super Eagles forward was introduced with 11 minutes left for Christian Pulisic.
In France, Moses Simon provided an assist for Nantes in their 2-1 home loss to Reims, in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday. The Super Eagles forward laid the pass for Douglas Augusto to give Nantes the lead in the 28th minute.
Akor Adams was in action for Montpellier who suffered a 3-0 loss away to Rennes in the Ligue 1 on Sunday. The Nigerian striker found the back of the net in the 51st minute but his effort was disallowed after consultation with the VAR. Adams has just one goal in four games played so far this season.
In Spain, Super Eagles striker Umar Sadiq played for 63 minutes as Real Sociedad lost 2-0 to Real Madrid in Saturday’s La Liga game. The Nigerian international who was making his fourth appearance for the club, had a decent performance. He was substituted for Orri Óskarsson in the 3rd minutes.
Nigerian international Chidera Ejuke was in action for Sevilla, as they clinched their first win of the La Liga season, a hard-fought 1-0 home win over Getafe on Saturday. Ejuke, who started the match and put in a solid 67-minute shift, was instrumental in Sevilla’s improved attacking display. His compatriot, Kelechi Iheanacho was an unused substitute.
In Turkey, Victor Osimhen made a memorable debut for Galatasaray, providing an assist in their emphatic 5-0 thrashing of Rizespor in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday. The Nigerian striker, although narrowly missed out on scoring a debut goal. He was initially credited with Galatasaray’s second goal, but the decision was later revised, awarding an assist to him for Abdulkerim Bardakci’s strike.

Gift scored a brace, opening the scoring in the 22nd minute, and assisted Babajide for their team’s second goal in the 28th minute. Gift completed her brace in the 40th minute, as they completely overwhelmed their visitors.
