Enyimba football club of Aba have progressed to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup, after a 3-2 penalty shootout win against Etoile Filante of Burkina Faso on Sunday.
The tie went into penalty shootout after the first leg in Bamako, and the second leg at Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo ended goalless.
Enyimba converted three of their spot kicks, while Etoile Filante managed to score two.
The People’s Elephant will be looking to become the first Nigerian club to win the CAF Confederation Cup, as they are now the only Nigerian club left on the continent this season.
