Nigeria’s Wahid Enitan Oshodi has made history by becoming the new president of the African Table Tennis Federation (ATTF). His election was officially confirmed on Tuesday during the 2024 ATTF annual general meeting, which took place at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Oshodi’s victory marks a significant milestone as he becomes the second Nigerian to ever hold this prestigious position, following in the footsteps of Engr. Segun George, a former president of the ATTF.
With a distinguished background in sports administration, Oshodi has previously served as the Executive Vice President of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and was the Deputy President of the ATTF.
His leadership experience also extends to his role as the Chairman of the Lagos State Table Tennis Association, and as a former Lagos State Sports Commissioner.
His election is seen as a significant development for Nigerian and African table tennis, with hopes that Oshodi’s leadership will help elevate the sport on the continent to new heights.
