Christopher Nkunku’s time at Stamford Bridge has come to an end, as the French forward has sealed a permanent move to Serie A giants AC Milan for a fee that could reach more than £36m. The 27-year-old has committed his future to the Rossoneri with a long-term contract running until June 2030 and will take on the number 18 shirt.
Nkunku arrived at Chelsea in the summer of 2023 from RB Leipzig with high expectations, but his debut season was hampered by injury. Despite limited opportunities, he managed 14 appearances and three goals.
His second year in London told a different story. Nkunku featured in 48 matches across all competitions, finding the back of the net 15 times. Five of those goals came in Chelsea’s triumphant Conference League campaign, capped off with victory in Wroclaw. His final strike for the Blues proved memorable as well, securing a crucial goal against Benfica in the Club World Cup Round of 16.
In total, Nkunku departs Chelsea with 18 goals from 62 appearances. Now, he begins a new chapter in Italy with Milan, where fans will be eager to see him bring his creativity, flair, and finishing ability to San Siro.
