Gabriel netted a 96th-minute winner as Arsenal came from behind to beat Newcastle United at St James’ Park.
The Brazilian defender got his head on the end of Martin Odegaard’s corner to send manager Mikel Arteta and his staff wild on the touchline.
Newcastle took the lead in the 35th minute with Sandro Tonali playing a short corner and delivering a cross, which Nick Woltemade headed home when he rose above the falling Gabriel Magalhaes.
The Magpies couldn’t hang onto their lead though, as Declan Rice’s cross was headed in off the post by Mikel Merino to draw Arsenal level.
The Gunners eventually took all three points to close the gap on league leaders Liverpool to two points and leave Newcastle floored.
