After failing to win any of their first four games this season, the Oluyole Warriors have now picked up three straight victories in the NPFL, signaling a strong return to form.
Nasarawa United Extend Lead at the Top
Nasarawa United maintained their grip at the top of the table following a hard-fought 1-0 away victory against Bendel Insurance on Saturday. Mohammed Garba’s 93rd-minute strike sealed the win for the Solid Miners, who are now unbeaten in six league matches. They’ve won their last four games and sit comfortably at the summit with 16 points from seven matches.
El-Kanemi Warriors Win Northern Derby
In Maiduguri, El-Kanemi Warriors secured a 2-1 win over Kano Pillars in a heated Northern derby. Daddy Abdulrahman opened the scoring in the 62nd minute, but Olakunle Akala equalized for Pillars in the 80th. Just a minute later, Abdulrahman struck again to restore the lead and hand his side all three points.
Enyimba and Rivers United Share the Spoils
Sunday’s heavyweight clash between Enyimba and Rivers United ended goalless in Aba. Both teams had chances but failed to convert. Enyimba remain in second place, three points behind leaders Nasarawa United, while Rivers United dropped to fourth with 12 points from six games.

Warri Wolves grabbed a vital away win, edging fellow newcomers Barau FC 1-0 at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano. Justus Ohanu’s 29th-minute strike proved enough to separate both sides, giving Wolves their first victory in five games.
Bayelsa United Held at Home
In Yenagoa, Bayelsa United were held to a 1-1 draw by Ikorodu City. Emo James gave the hosts the lead in the 26th minute, but Tosin Oyedokun rescued a point for Ikorodu seven minutes from time.
Ikorodu City have won just once in seven NPFL games, while Bayelsa United remain winless in their last five.
