Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho will join the Super Eagles squad in Abidjan on Friday, ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations starting this Saturday in Cote d’Ivoire.
Iheanacho failed to link up with the team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates because of injury. However, Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro revealed in an interview that the striker has fully recovered from the injury.
The former Manchester City player is not expected to feature in Nigeria’s opening game against the Nzalang Nacional of Equatorial Guinea on Sunday.
