Ivory Coast striker David Datro Fofana has joined Burnley on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season.
Fofana joined Chelsea from Norwegian side Molde on a six-year deal in January 2023, and has spent the first half of the season on loan at German side, Union Berlin.
The 21-year-old said Burnley will be the “perfect” club for him to progress.
He added: “To work with [Clarets boss] Vincent Kompany will be very good. I have seen a couple of games already and I think this is the right place for me to make the next steps.”
“We’re pleased to confirm the signing of forward David Datro Fofana who joins on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season, subject to approval from the Premier League and FA,” Burnley posted on their social media page.
The 21-year-old Ivory Coast international becomes Vincent Kompany’s first signing of the January transfer window.
