Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro is not sure if Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen will be available for the AFCON semi-final clash with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa on Wednesday.
Osimhen did not travel with the Nigeria contingent to Bouake for the game on Monday night as a result of abdominal discomfort.
The Portuguese coach refused to offer any assurance on the Osimhen’s availability for the semifinal game, while addressing reporters at a press conference ahead of the game in Bouake on Tuesday morning
Peseiro stated: “Until now, I can’t answer right because it is about health. This afternoon, I can know better if he can play or not.”
The Napoli striker is still under close watch, and can join the rest of the squad on Tuesday if he is cleared by the team’s medics.
The Super Eagles will lock horns with the Bafana Bafana at the Stade de la Paix, Bouake on Wednesday at 5pm Cote d’Ivoire time (6pm in Nigeria).
