In the Premier League, the duo of Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey scored as Fulham earn an impressive 2-1 victory away at Manchester United on Saturday. Bassey put Fulham in front in the 65th minute to register his first goal of the season, but Harry Maguire levelled for United in the 89th minute.
However, deep into stoppage time, Iwobi was put through on goal and slotted cooly past Onana to earn all three points for Fulham on a dramatic afternoon in Manchester.
At the Villa Park, Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi provided an assist in Nottingham Forest’s 4-2 defeat at Aston Villa on Saturday. Awoniyi has registered six goals with three assists this season.
In the Italian Serie A, Victor Osimhen was on target for Napoli in their 1-1 draw against Cagliari on Saturday. Osimhen put the Italian champions in front in the 65th minute to register his 8th league goal of the season. Cagliari however levelled in added minutes of the game.
Ademola Lookman was in action for Atalanta in their 1-1 draw with AC Milan on Sunday. Lookman came on as a substitute at the start o my the second half. His compatriot, Samuel Chukwueze was an unused substitute for Milan.
In Scotland, Cyriel Dessers scored two goals as Rangers hammered Hearts 5-0 in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday. The Nigerian put Rangers 3-0 ahead in the 44th minute, before grabbing his second goal and the fourth for the home team on 48th minute. The 29-year-old has scored 16 goals with five assists in all competitions this season.
In the Championship, Nigerian striker Emmanuel Dennis was on target for Watford in their 1-2 home defeat to Huddersfield on Saturday. Dennis put Watford ahead in the 55th minute, but Danny Ward’s two late goals earn the away team all three points.
In France, Moses Simon got an assist for FC Nantes in their narrow 1-0 away victory over Lorient on Saturday. The Super Eagles winger assisted Castelletto for the winning goal in the 49th minute. The 28-year-old has registered three goals with five assists this season.
