Harry Kane has set a new personal best of 31 league goals in a season after scoring for Bayern Munich in their 5-2 away win at Darmstadt on Saturday. Kane had previously scored 30 goals in two Premier League seasons while at Tottenham Hotspur.
He has also set a new record for the most goals in a Bundesliga debut season, breaking previous record of 30 goals set by Uwe Seeler for Hamburg in 1963-64 season- which was the first season of the Bundesliga.
The England captain has been involved in 40 Bundesliga goals in just 26 games (31 goals and nine assists) this season, and will return to England for the UEFA Champions League quarter-final fixture against Arsenal next month. He has scored 14 goals in 19 appearances against the Gunners in all competitions.
The first leg of the tie will go down at the Emirates Stadium on 9 April with the return leg a week later on 17 April.
