In France, Nigerian striker, Terem Moffi scored twice for Nice in their 3-1 away win at Lens in the French Ligue 1 on Saturday. Moffi opened the scoring for Nice in the 11th minute and made it 3-1 in the 67th minute. The 24-year-old now has nine goals in 22 league appearances this season.
In Italy, Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze scored his first league goal for AC Milan in their 3-1 victory over Verona in Sunday’s Serie A game. The Nigerian international, who was making his 17th league appearance came on as a substitute in the 74th minute and scored five minutes later. The 24-year-old has now scored three goals with one assist in all competitions this season.
In England, Super Eagles duo of Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey were in action for Fulham in their comfortable 3-0 Premier League win over Tottenham Hotspur at Craven Cottage on Saturday. Bassey played the full 90 minutes, while Iwobi, making his 21st league appearance for the London club was substituted in the 82nd minute of the encounter.
Frank Onyeka was in action for Brentford in their 2-1 defeat to Burnley in Saturday’s Premier League game. The Nigerian international was replaced in the 59th minute, and has made 22 league appearances for Brentford this season.
Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi was in action for Leicester City as they crashed out of the FA Cup following a 4-2 defeat to Chelsea in Sunday. He started the game, but was replaced by Conor Coady 12 minutes from time. It was Ndidi’s 27th game of the season. His international teammate Kelechi Iheanacho was an unused substitute in the game.
In the Championship, Emmanuel Dennis scored the only goal for Watford in their 1-0 away win at Birmingham City on Saturday. Dennis found the back of the net a minute before halftime. The 26-year-old has scored three goals in 10 league appearances since joining Watford in January. His compatriot, Tom Dele-Bashiru was also impressive in midfield for Watford in the game.
In Germany, Nathan Tella was in action for Bayer Leverkusen who defeated Freiburg 3-2 away in Sunday’s Bundesliga game. Tella making his 17 league appearance of the season was introduced in the game for Jeremie Frimpong with seven minutes left.
In Belgium, Raphael Onyedika got an assist for Club Brugge as they fell to a narrow 2-1 defeat at St. Truiden on Sunday. The 22-year-old assisted Ferran Jutgla for the opening goal in the 6th minute.
In Turkey, Ibrahim Olawoyin was on target, while Babajide Akintola featured for 84 minutes for Caykur Rizespor in their 3-1 win over Gaziantep on Sunday. Olawoyin has registered five goals in the Turkish Super Lig this season.
In Saudi Arabia, Henry Onyekuru scored his 10th league goal of the season for Al Fayha in their 1-1 draw at home against Al Riyadh on Friday.
