The Super Eagles of Nigeria beat 10-man Black Stars of Ghana 2-1 in an international friendly game played in Marrakech, Morocco on Friday.
Goals from Cyriel Dessers and Ademola Lookman was enough to earn interim coach Finidi George his first win.
The Eagles broke the deadlock in the 38th minutes after Dessers sent the keeper the wrong way from the penalty spot after a Ghanaian player handled the ball inside the box.
The Black Stars came out more purposeful in the second half, but were reduced to 10 men in the 56th minute after Jerome Opoku was shown a straight red card.
Atalanta forward, Lookman doubled the Super Eagles lead with six minutes to go, but Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew pulled a goal back for the Black Stars from the penalty spot in added minutes of the game.
Nigeria will be back in action on Tuesday, 26 March as they face Mali in another friendly also in Marrakech.
