In Germany, Victor Boniface was on target for Bayer Leverkusen who continued their unbeaten run with a 5-1 win at Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga on Sunday. The Super Eagles striker came on in the 61st minute, and converted a penalty a minute before full time to put Leverkusen 5-1 ahead.
The 23-year-old has now scored 12 goals in 21 league appearances for the newly crowned Bundesliga champions, and has been included in the Bundesliga Team of the Season.
Also in action for Leverkusen was his compatriot Nathan Tella, who was in action for 72 minutes.
Nigerian defender Kevin Akpoguma put in a good defensive shift for Hoffenheim, as they snatched a 1-1 draw in their Bundesliga encounter against RB Leipzig on Friday night.
In Italy, Samuel Chukwueze got an assist for AC Milan in their 3-3 draw with Genoa on Sunday. The Super Eagles winger assisted Florenzi for the equaliser on the stroke of halftime.
In the Premier League, the duo of Taiwo Awoniyi and Ola Aina were in action for Nottingham Forest in their 3-1 win over Sheffield United on Saturday. Aina saw action for 90 minutes, while it was a return to action for Awoniyi, who has been out since March with a muscle injury, as he came on in the 90th minute.
In another Premier League fixture, Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey were in action for Fulham in their goalless draw at Brentford on Saturday. Their Super Eagles teammate Frank Onyeka was in action for Brentford, he was brought in with eight minutes left.
In the Championship, Joe Aribo featured for the entire duration for Southampton in their 2-1 away win at Leeds United on Saturday, as the Saints qualify for the promotion playoffs.
Both Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho were in action for Championship champions Leicester City in their 2-0 defeat at home to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday. Ndidi played the full 90 minutes, while Iheanacho came on in the 78th minute.
In Scotland, Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers was in action for Rangers in their 4-1 win over Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday. The striker has scored 20 goals with six assists in all competitions this season. Also in action for Ranger was his compatriot, Leon Balogun who played for 46 minutes.
In Turkey, Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu was in action for 70 minutes for Trabzonspor in their 3-1 defeat to Samsunspor in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday. Onuachu has scored 12 goals with four assists in all competitions this season.
