The Queens continued to press forward, and their attacking momentum paid off again in the second half when Folashade Ijamilusi doubled the lead in the 54th minute.
Chukwuamaka Osigwe then capped off a flawless performance with a third goal in the 80th minute, sealing all three points for the Nigerian side.
This dominant victory has set the stage for Edo Queens’ next big challenge, as they prepare to face fellow tournament debutants, FC Masar from Egypt, on Wednesday, November 13. FC Masar will enter the match with confidence after delivering an upset in their own opening game, defeating two-time Champions League winners Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa 1-0.
