It was a weekend to remember on the Lagos waterfront as Team Brazil stormed to victory at the E1 Lagos Grand Prix, marking their first win of the electric powerboat racing series. Led by the ever-reliable Timmy Hansen, the team delivered a flawless performance, dominating the group stages, excelling in the race-off, and sealing the deal in the final.
They edged out Team Blue Rising, who settled for second place, while Team Drogbasecured the third spot on the podium. Notably, there was no room in the podium for Team Rafa and Team Brady, both of whom had been battling fiercely at the top of the championship standings going into the Lagos event.
With this victory, Team Brazil earned 38 points, bringing their season total to 89 points. While still trailing the championship leaders, the result provides a morale boost as the series heads into its final race in Miami next month.

The E1 World Championship — often called the “Formula One of the seas” — is the world’s first all-electric powerboat racing series, combining cutting-edge technology, sustainability, and adrenaline-pumping speed. Since its launch last year in Jeddah, the competition has grown rapidly, and Lagos proudly made history as the first African city to host an E1 Grand Prix.
As the penultimate race of the season, the Lagos GP has set the stage for a thrilling championship showdown in Miami, where the world’s best electric powerboat teams will battle for ultimate glory on water.
